The UCSF Industry Documents Library relies on lawyers, journalists, researchers, advocacy organizations, and other groups to help build our document collections. We collect industry documents from litigation, Freedom of Information Act Requests, partner libraries, and other sources. For more information please see our Collection Development Policy.

If you would like to donate documents, please contact our staff. Documents can be contributed anonymously.

The UCSF Industry Documents Library’s mission is identify, collect, curate, preserve, and make freely accessible internal documents created by industries and their partners which have an impact on public health, for the benefit and use of policymakers, researchers, clinicians, educators, students, and the general public at UCSF and internationally.

The Truth Tobacco Industry Documents collection was developed and is maintained by a gift from the American Legacy Foundation (now Truth Initiative) but all other collections depend on grants and donations.
